Jon Shoutta and Sara Baumberger Named Regis SAAC Student-Athletes of the Month for March

Denver, Colo.: The Regis University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee today named their March Student-Athletes of the Month.  Freshman Jon Shoutta from the baseball team and senior Sara Baumberger a member of the softball team were each honored. 

Jon Shoutta: 

Jon Shoutta has been a great addition to the baseball team. He leads the team in most offensive categories. Jon is also currently first in batting average (.435), total bases (69), home runs (8), and second in on base percentage (.500) and slugging percentage (.750) in the RMAC. Jon also ranks in the top 5 for runs scored (28), Runs batted in (24), and total hits (40)

Shoutta is a freshman from Englewood, Colo. and is majoring in math and finance.

A: I eat three pieces of double bubble at one time before the national anthem

A: Jesus Christ, Kemba Walker, and Ken Griffey Jr.

Q: What talent do you wish you had?
A: I wish that I could dunk a basketball

Sara Baumberger: 

Senior Sara Baumberger has overcome several injuries this season but that has not stopped her from performing. She currently ranks third in runs scored, runs batted in, and doubles for the season 

Sara is from Arvada, Colo. and is majoring in nursing.
