Regis Ends RMAC Tournament Play with 4-2 Loss to Metro State
After falling 4-0 to Mesa State on Friday, Regis ended their RMAC tournament play on Saturday with a 4-2 loss to Metro State in the semifinal game. The Rangers scored both of their runs in the top of the seventh but were unable to cross four over the plate to tie the score.

Rangers Shutout CSU-Pueblo 1-0 to Advance to RMAC Semifinal Game
Natalie Adami and Mo McDaniel each went 2-for-3 as Regis shutout CSU-Pueblo 1-0 to advance to the RMAC semifinal game on Friday. The Rangers came into the tournament as the No. 7 seed and is now one of four teams remaining and one of two undefeated.

Rangers Fall 4-0 to Mesa State for First Loss in RMAC Tournament
After defeating CSU-Pueblo 1-0 Friday morning, Regis fell for the first time in the RMAC tournament as they were defeated 4-0 by Mesa State Friday afternoon. The Mavericks grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and extended it to four by the fourth. The Rangers were unable to cross a runner over the plate in the game.

Rangers Score Six in One Inning to Grab Three Run Victory Over Western N.M. in RMAC Tournament
To start off the RMAC tournament, Regis scored six runs in the fifth inning to grab a three run victory, 6-3, over Western N.M. Alisa Heronema went 3-for-4 with a triple to break the career record as she has now hit 25 triples in just three seasons at Regis. Rebekah Tippets, 1999-2002, was the previous record holder with 24.

Bianca Holley threw a no hitter in Regis' game one 1-0 shutout of the Orediggers before throwing another six inning game to lead the Rangers to a sweep over Colorado Mines on Sunday. The Rangers outhit Mines 19-6 in the doubleheader.

Holley Throws Two-Hitter to Help Rangers to Split in Doubleheader with Mines
After Head Coach Dana Lillard received a plaque for recording her 300th career victory, which occured over UCCS last weekend, game one began. The break between games brought about recognition for lone senior Mo McDaniel and Peyton Palermo, the team's adopted teammate from Parker, Colo. who is a part of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. After her introduction, Palermo kicked of game two by throwing the first pitch.

Associate Athletic Director Ann Martin Tabbed as Next Regis Athletic Director
Regis University President Fr. Michael Sheeran, S.J. announced the hiring of Ann Martin as the next director of athletics. Martin replaces longtime Regis Athletic Director Barbara Schroeder who will be retiring in June. Martin has been on the Regis athletic administration staff since 2005.

After falling in game one to UCCS on Saturday, 7-3, Regis snagged an extra inning victory over the Mountain Lions in game two, 9-8, to split on the day. Alisa Heronema helped lead the Rangers by going 6-for-9 on the day with one double and tallying three runs for Regis.

The Rangers dropped a one-run game to the Mountain Lions in game one, 3-4, on Sunday before snagging a five run victory, 7-2, over UCCS in game two. With a split on Saturday, Regis split 2-2 overall on the weekend with the Mountain Lions.

The Regis and UC-Colorado Springs softball series set for Saturday and Sunday have moved back their start times for the doubleheader on Saturday. Originally scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., they will now begin at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. in Colorado Springs.

Regis completed their series against Nebraska-Kearney with a sweep of the Lopers taking all four games this weekend. Saturday, the Rangers grabbed both victories with a mercy rule as they defeated Kearney 10-1 in game one and 14-6 in game two.

On Saturday, Regis dropped two games to the Fort Lewis Skyhawks in Durango to come to a 4-16 overall record, 1-13 RMAC. The Rangers fell by four runs in game one, 5-1, and by just one, 3-2, in game two.

As the Rangers began their second RMAC series, they split with Adams State to come to hold a 4-8 overall record, 1-5 RMAC. Regis grabbed the game one victory 7-5 before succumbing to the Grizzlies 7-6 in game two. Heronema went off on the day going 5-for-7 with one double, two triples, and scoring four of the Rangers' runs.

Two Ranger Women Receive Sportswomen of Colorado Honors
Two Regis women athletes received Sportswomen of Colorado honors for their performances last season and years past. Alisa Heronema, junior softball player, was named the Sportswomen of Colorado for her performance on the diamond last season. Diana Lopez was inducted into the Sportswomen Hall of Fame for receiving three awards in basketball since 2006.

Snowy and cold weather again defeated the Regis Ranger baseball and softball teams this weekend. Softball has canceled all games scheduled for this weekend, while baseball has canceled its Saturday doubleheader with Hastings College. Tentatively the Sunday doubleheader is on as scheduled against Hastings, pending the weather.

With the threat of cold and snowy weather moving into the area this weekend the Regis softball team has already announced a cancellation. The game originally scheduled for Friday afternoon against Concordia-St. Paul has been cancelled. The Saturday game against the Unviersity of Mary has been moved to an 11 AM and 1 PM start, while Sunday's game are still on as scheduled.

Bianca Holley Named RMAC Pitcher of the Week
After the Rangers have finished their first two weeks of the 2010 season going 3-3, Bianca Holley was named the RMAC Pitcher of the Week for these two weeks of play.The Rangers split double header's with Fort Hays State, Emporia State, and CSU-Pueblo. In these competitions, Holley pitched 19.1 innings in four game appearances to hold a 2-1 record and a 3.62 ERA.

With her second homerun in her second ever collegiate game, Alyssa Beskid brought in three RBI’s in the first inning of game one against Emporia State, five overall, to help lead the Rangers to a 10-8 victory on Saturday. In game two, Regis fell short of Emporia 8-4.

Rangers Open 2010 Season with Split to Fort Hays State
Back-to-back homeruns by freshman Alyssa Beskid and sophomore Nikki Haberkorn in the bottom of the sixth led the Rangers to a 9-1 mercy-rule victory over the Fort Hays State Tigers on Friday to open the 2010 season. Beskid went 3-for-4 in the game with three RBI’s and two runs scored. Haberkorn went 1-for-4 with two RBI’s and crossed the plate twice. In game two, the Rangers fell to the Tigers 12-2.

Regis Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Co-Hosts 1st Annual Gatorade Pong Tournament
On October 22nd, the Regis University Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) teamed up with CHOICES and SIC to host the first ever Gatorade Pong Tournament. With cooperative weather, great team costumes, a delicious BBQ and lots of swag, the tournament was an overall hit.
