Senior Mo McDaniel Named ESPN The Magazine All-District VII First Team

Denver, Colo.: Senior Mo McDaniel was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic Softball All-District VII First Team as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

McDaniel, a utility player from Fort Collins, Colo., was named to the second team last season and maintains a 4.00 grade point average in math and music.  She is just one of three student-athletes on the first team with a 4.00 GPA.  McDaniel was earlier named to the RMAC Academic First Team after two seasons being named to the second team.

McDaniel was fourth on the team with a .301 batting average while playing in all 50 games.  She led the team with eight doubles and had a career high 43 hits in 2010.  She was third on the team with 26 RBIs and four homeruns.

McDaniel helped the Rangers to a third place finish at last weekend's RMAC Tournament losing to eventual champion Metro State.

McDaniel will now move on to the national ballot.
