Denver, Colo.: Junior All-America catcher
Alisa Heronema was named Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team
as voted on by the sports information directors in both the Rocky
Mountain Athletic and Northern Sun Intercollegiate
Conferences.
Heronema, the RMAC Player of the Year, led the Rangers in almost every offensive category. She has been named to the RMAC First Team in each of her first three seasons donning a Ranger uniform. Heronema leads the RMAC with 80 hits this season and second with a .457 batting average. Her .505 on-base percentage ranks fifth in the conference while her five triples are tied for the conference lead.
The speedy catcher who began her career in the outfield is third in the RMAC with 21 stolen bases. Earlier this season Heronema broke the Regis career hits mark of 244 held by Rebekah Tippets who recently became a member of the all-time RMAC team. She now has 265 career hits and her .451 batting average is second best in Regis history books.
