Rangers Drop Two Road Games to Fort Lewis

Durango, Colo.: On Saturday, Regis dropped two games to the Fort Lewis Skyhawks in Durango to come to a 4-16 overall record, 1-13 RMAC. The Rangers fell by four runs in game one, 5-1, and by just one, 3-2, in game two.???

Game one went scoreless for the Rangers for four innings before they posted one run in the top of the fifth on an RBI single by Jamie Winsor. The Skyhawks had already scored two in the first, one in the third, and one in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead before Winsor brought in the run. Fort Lewis added one more to the board in the sixth to grab the 5-1 victory. Bianca Holley recorded the loss for the Rangers.

Regis grabbed the first lead in game two when they tallied two runs in the top of the fourth. The first run was brought in by Holley on a double to right center. She then scored on a Skyhawk error for the second run of the inning.

The Skyhawks didn't take long to answer back as they scored three in the bottom of the inning to go ahead by one, 3-2. Neither team was able to cross the plate again ending the game in favor of Fort Lewis. Holley recorded the loss in game two and falls to 2-9.

Up next, the Rangers will finish the series against Fort Lewis on Sunday. First pitch is set for 11:00 a.m.
