Rangers Earn Five Seed to 2009 RMAC Tournament; Play CSU-Pueblo in First Game on Thursday

Denver, Colo.: The Regis Ranger softball team earned the #5 seed for the upcoming Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference softball tournament.  Regis will play #4 seed CSU-Pueblo at 9:30 AM Thursday morning at Metro State, who earned the #1 seed and the right to host the tournament.

Regis finished the regular season with a 28-23 record including a 21-16 mark in conference play.  CSU-Pueblo finished 28-16 overall and 22-12 in loop action.  Adams State is seeded #2, while Colorado Mines is third.

Regis has won the RMAC Tournament three times; most recently in 2006 when the Rangers were 48-15 overall and 34-2 in conference games.
