Rangers Place four on All-Conference Teams; Haberkorn Tabbed Freshman of the Year

Colorado Springs, Colo.: The Regis University Rangers placed four players on the All-RMAC Teams and Nikki Haberkorn recieved Freshman of the Year honors the conference announced Wednesday.

Sophomore catcher Alisa Heronema was named First Team All-RMAC this season. In regular season play she batted .447 with an on-base percentage of .478. She holds the season record for hits with 88 which she recorded this season outdoing her previous best from 2008 of 84 hits. With a slugging percentage of .569, Heronema has hit 11 doubles this season and has walked 11 times also.

Receiving Second Team honors was sophomore pitcher Bianca Holley. Holley holds 4.27 ERA with a record of 13-8. She has made 30 appearances on the mound with 17 complete games and 164.1 innings pitched. She has a batting average against of .292.

Senior Jackie Martinez and freshman Natalie Adami were both named to the All-RMAC Third Team by the conference. Martinez batted .318 in regular season play with a .364 on-base percentage. She has compiled 47 hits this season six of which were doubles, and eight (4-4) being triples and homeruns. Adami is second on the team with a batting average of .361. She has an on-base percentage of .449 and is second on the team with 25 walks.  With 11 doubles, seven triples, and four homeruns, Adami has totaled for 61 hits on the season. 

Also recieving RMAC honors was Nikki Haberkorn who was tabbed Freshman of the Year. Haberkorn has a 14-11 record while in the circle and holds a 4.97 ERA. She has 27 mound appearances while throwing 16 complete games and totaling for 155.2 innings. Teams have batted .305 against her.

Not only has Haberkorn been a threat to other teams while on the mound but at the plate as well. She batted .295 in regular season play while leading the Rangers with nine homeruns. She also leads the Rangers with 27 walks. She holds an on-base percentage of .417 and a slugging percentage of .590.
