Ranger Softball Pitcher Nikki Haberkorn Earns Second RMAC Pitcher of the Week Award

Colorado Springs, Colo.: Ranger freshman pitcher Nikki Haberkorn was awarded her second Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week award for her efforts last weekend.

Haberkorn, from Denver, Colo., started two games going 2-0 with two shutouts and two complete games.  Regis won both games by scores of 8-0.  In the first game, she pitched 5.0 innings scattering four hits and striking out five.  In the second game, she went 6.0 innings allowing just five hits and striking out six Cowgirl batters.

So far this season, the right-hander from Mullen HS, is 6-4 on the mound with six complete games and two shutouts.  She also leads the team with a 2.54 ERA and 50 strikeouts.  She has started 10 games, appearing in 11 and has one save in 60.2 innings.

Regis is currently 12-9 overall and 4-2 in RMAC action.  Regis will travel to Silver City, N.M. to take on Western New Mexico this Saturday and Sunday.
