Regis Men's Cross Country Ends Season at NCAA Central Region Championships

Wayne, Neb.: The Regis University men's cross country team finished their season at the NCAA Central Region Meet.  Many of the Rangers set personal bests on a cold, bitter day at one of the toughest meets all year.

Defending national champion Adams State took home the team title outlasting RMAC-foe Western State 29-58.

Head Coach John Esquibel comments, "This team is a treat to coach and the guys ran great today, with many of the guys setting personal bests."

Senior Matthew Drake finished his career with a 97th place finish in a time of 35:23.07 over the 10-kilometer course.  His time this season was one minute better than last season at the same meet on the same course.  Freshmen Ian Huff and Will Sabin finished in times of 36:48.92 and 37:08.07, while sophomore Christian Pedroza crossed the finish line with a 38:17.17 clocking.

Sophomores Andrew Tier and John Brooks came in 121st and 123rd places respectively.  Tier covered the course in 38 minutes and 42 seconds, while Brooks clocked in at 39:18.37.  Junior James Estes finished out the Rangers team in a time of 43 minutes even.
