Associate Athletic Director Ann Martin Tabbed as Next Regis Athletic Director
Regis University President Fr. Michael Sheeran, S.J. announced the hiring of Ann Martin as the next director of athletics. Martin replaces longtime Regis Athletic Director Barbara Schroeder who will be retiring in June. Martin has been on the Regis athletic administration staff since 2005.

Regis Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Co-Hosts 1st Annual Gatorade Pong Tournament
On October 22nd, the Regis University Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) teamed up with CHOICES and SIC to host the first ever Gatorade Pong Tournament. With cooperative weather, great team costumes, a delicious BBQ and lots of swag, the tournament was an overall hit.

Ranger Harriers Finish Season at NCAA Division II Central Region Championships
In the toughest region in NCAA Division II, the Regis Ranger cross country teams had an uphill battle to climb against schools from the Rocky Mountain Athletic and Northern Sun Intercollegiate conferences. The Regis women finished in 17th place, while the men finished 19th overall.

Regis XC Runners Compete in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships
In one of the toughest if not the toughest cross country conferences in NCAA Division II, the Regis Rangers had to compete against defending national champions Adams State and other teams that are ranked in the top 10 nationally. The Regis women finished in 9th place while the men came in 11th.

The Regis men's cross country team traveled east to participate in the Fort Hays Tiger Open and finished eighth in a tough field that included RMAC foe Colorado Mines which took the team title.

Ranger Men's and Women's Cross Country Runs at Rocky Mountain Shootout
Today's Rocky Mountain shootout was one of the better mornings of the season to run a cross country race. Chilly temperatures greeted the runners but when the sun broke it was perfect conditions for good times.

Ranger Men's and Women's Cross Country Compete Against Top Teams in the Nation at Moutaineer Open
The Regis men's and women's cross country teams competed against two of the top teams in the nation at this morning's Mountaineer Open. Both the men's and women's teams finished in third place with the men finishing with 78 points and the women with 66 points.

Ranger Harriers Compete at Ultra-Competitive UC-Riverside Open
The Regis University men's and women's cross country teams took part in the ultra-competitive UC-Riverside Invite this weekend. The men's team was unable to fill out all five spots needed for a team score, while the women finished 25th in the varsity and fifth in the junior varsity race.

The Regis Ranger men's and women's cross country teams took part in the Joe I. Vigil Open this past weekend. The Ranger women finished in fifth place overall while the men had two runners compete.

RMAC Announces Preseason Cross Country Poll
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference recently released the 2009 preseason cross country poll. The Ranger women were selected to finish ninth out of 13 teams, while the men were predicted to finish in 10th place.
