Ranger Men's and Women's Cross Country Compete in Joe I. Vigil Open
Alamosa, Colo.: The Regis Ranger men's and women's cross country teams took part in the Joe I. Vigil Open this past weekend. The Ranger women finished in fifth place overall while the men had two runners compete.
The top woman runner for Regis was sophomore Karoline Garren. She turned in a 5k time of 20:25 to finish in 30th place. The top runner for the men is junior Matthew Drake who turned in an 8k time of 28:52.
Kristen McGlynn from the defending national champions Adams State won the women's event in a time of 17:53. On the men's side, Mario Macias running unattached won in a time of 23:56. The first collegiate to finish was from Adams State, Reuben Mwei, with a time of 24:27.

The Rangers are in action again in two weekends as they travel to Riverside, Calif. to take part in the prestigous UC-Riverside Open on Saturday, September 19.
