Tony McCall's second season in 2010 was one of the most exciting seasons in Regis men's soccer history. The sophomore coach guided the Rangers to their first ever NCAA Division II Tournament berth with a 14-3-4 (.762) record.
Under McCall the Rangers finished with a 9-2-3 RMAC record in 2010, which resulted in a third place finish during the regular season. The Rangers finished with a 7-2-1 home record but had an even better road record at 6-1-2 including a victory over then-top ranked Colorado Mines.
Seniors Nathan Kafer and Gary Cole were each named to a number of all-america teams, while juniors Ben Buhler and Kyle Emge joined Kafer and Cole on the NSCAA Scholar All-America team.
McCall had one of the best rookie seasons of any coach in Regis history. He guided the Rangers to a 9-6-4 overall record and a 7-3-4 RMAC record.
The Rangers finished fourth in the RMAC and earned a spot in the RMAC Tournament where they fell to eventual national champion Fort Lewis.
In two seasons at the helm of the Rangers he has guided them to a 23-9-8 (.675) overall record including an 16-5-7 (.696) RMAC record. At home the Rangers have a 9-5-4 (.611) mark under McCall.
McCall was an instructor for the Colorado Youth Soccer
Association and an Associate Staff coach for the National Soccer
Coaches Association of America. McCall was also a Region IV ODP
Staff Coach and was the 86 Boys Head Coach participating
in the prestigious Disney College Showcase in Orlando as well
as the assistant coach when the regional team toured Costa
Rica.
McCall previously worked at The Sport Source where he traveled the country speaking to prospective student-athletes and their parents by helping them navigate the college search process. Prior to that, McCall was Technical Director for the Colorado Storm Soccer Association from 2005-2007. He was responsible for over 100 local soccer coaches and their education as well as the organizations player development and the overall budget of the Colorado Storm.
McCall was on the Board of Directors for the NSCAA which is the largest coaches organization, regardless of sport, in the world for six years. He has been on the board of the almost 20,000 member association since 2003.
McCall was an assistant coach at Metro State for two seasons (2002-03) where he was primarily responsible for recruiting prospective student-athletes on a local, regional and national basis. Prior to his stint at Metro State, he was the Executive Director for the Colorado Xtreme Soccer Club in Denver from 1998-2005.
Prior to moving to Denver, McCall was the head coach at NCAA Division I Stetson University in Deland, Fla. from 1993-98. McCall won 34 games in five seasons at Stetson including an 11-8-1 record in 1997. A native of Ireland, McCall got his first coaching position at Div. I South Alabama in Mobile where he was the assistant coach from 1987-93.
McCall holds a UEFA "A" License in addition to the NSCAA Premier Diploma and an IFA "A" License.

Lee Ibrahim

Lee Ibrahim is in his second season as assistant coach for the Regis Men's Soccer program. Ibrahim was instrumental in helping the Rangers to a historical season in 2010 and, with his soccer knowledge, will continue to develop all-american talent in 2011.
Ibrahim came to Regis after eight years working in his family collegiate souveneir and apparel business in his hometown of Clemson, S.C. Ibrahim played two seasons at NCAA Division I Clemson University, one of the most storied programs in men's soccer. Clemson is tied for eighth all-time with 26 national tournament appearances including a 1998 appearance in which Ibrahim was a part of. Ibrahim graduated in the spring of 2002 from Clemson.
Ibrahim comes from a coaching pedigree and is thankful to be back in the soccer community. Ibrahim's father, I.M. Ibrahim, is the most successful coach in Clemson University history. Ibrahim has the most wins, 388, at Clemson which is second most in ACC history. His father guided the Tigers to two NCAA Division I National Championships in 1984 and 1987.
Lee spent one season prior to Regis at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C. as assistant men's soccer coach.
Gary Cole

Gary Cole begins his first year as a graduate assistant with the men's soccer program. He played for the Rangers during the 2008, 2009, and 2010 seasons.
In 2010, Cole played 21 games while he started 20 and logged 1,885 minutes of play. As a defender, he scored one goal and of seven shots, three were on goal. He was named 2010 RMAC Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-RMAC, NSCAA All-American, Men's Scholar All-American Second Team, and NSCAA Scholar All-West Region First Team.
In 2009, Cole started in all 19 games. He helped the Rangers to a 1.36 goal against average which is ninth best in Regis history. He led the team with 1,731 minutes played out of 1,790 minutes total. During his play, he had one assist and three attempted shots. He was named to the 2009 Daktronics First Team All-Central Region, NSCAA Second Team All-Central Region, All-RMAC First Team, and the RMAC Academic Second Team.
In 2008, he started all 18 games of the season. He recorded one assist and had two shots on goal. He was named to the 2008 NSCAA First Team All-Central Region, Daktronics First Team All-Central Region, and All-RMAC the First Team.
He started his collegiate career at the Division I University of Vermont in Burlington, Vt. where he played in 11 games and started in seven.
Cole graduated Arapahoe high school in Centennial, Colo. in 2007. He was named the Continental League Player of the Year in 2006 as well as being named to the Denver Post All-Colorado Team, and the All-Rocky Mountain Team. He was also an All-State selection in 2006 as well as being a three-time All-Conference selection.
He was born on March 17th, 1989 and is the son of Jeff Cole.
Matt Fannon

Matt Fannon begins his second season as an assistant coach on the Rangers men's soccer staff. Matt currently works for Challenger Sports which is the largest soccer camp operator in the United States, Canada and Australia.
Originally from York, England, Fannon played collegiate soccer at NCAA Division II member Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, W.V. He was an All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honoree as well as an all-region perfomer in his time at Davis & Elkins.
Chris Sharpe

Chris Sharpe comes to Regis University for his first year as an assistant coach from Westminster, Colo. where he is currently the Director for the Core Goalkeeper Academy, Colorado Rapids Academy, and the Colorado Force W-League. He was also a part of the International Goalkeeper Academy in a coaching roll from 2000 to 2003.
He currently is playing with the Colorado Rapids in the MLS. In the past he has played for Koge BoldKlub in the Danish Division I (2007), Viborg FF in the Danish Super Liga (2005-07), Chesterfield FC inthe English League One (2004-05), Parramatta Power in the Australian National League (2003-04), Northern Spirit in the Australian National League (2002-03), Southampton FC in the English Premier League (2000-02), and Blackburn Rovers FC in the English Premier League (1998-2000).
While playing club, Sharpe has acquired many national team honors. In 2003-04, he was recognized on the Australian U-23 Olympic Games Squad. In 2000-01, he earned a spot on the Australian U-20 team
