Men’s Soccer Places Emge and Buhler on Men’s Scholar-All-West Region First Team
Colorado Springs, Colo.: Senior forwards Kyle Emge and Ben Buhler were named to the 2011 College Division Men's Scholar-All-West Region First Team today for their performances on the field and in the classroom through the 2011-12 season.
Native of Greeley, Colo., Buhler maintained a 3.84 GPA while studying Accounting and Finance. He played in 17 matches this past season, while he started in 14. He was one of three to lead the men in goals with six, and accumulated 12 points on the season. Buhler put 16 shots on goal out of 39 total shots for a .410 shot on goal percentage. He led the Ranger men with four game-winning goals. He received many accolades for his efforts during the 2011-12 season including All-RMAC First Team, Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team, and the Capital One Academic All-District Team.
Emge, a Business Management major from Fort Collins, Colo. has maintained a 3.59 GPA while playing 17 total matches and starting in 15. Emge was one of three Rangers to lead the team with six goals. He also tallied 15 points on the season. With 17 shots on goal out of 42 total shots, he accumulated a .396 shot on goal percentage. Emge has garnered several awards for this past season, including All-RMAC First Team, Daktronics All-Central Region First Team, NSCAA All-Central Region Team, and Capital One Academic All-District Team to name a few.
