Senior Goalkeeper Wally Fink Named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week for Second Straight Week

Colorado Springs, Colo.:  Senior goalkeeper Wally Fink was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after helping the Rangers to a road split last weekend.

Fink, from Rio Rancho, N.M., had one shutout in the Rangers 1-0 victory over Mesa State on Friday.  He had six saves while collecting his fourth shutout of the season.

Against fourth-ranked Fort Lewis he had eight saves against a very potent Skyhawk offense.  For the week he averaged seven saves and a 1.50 goals against average.

On the season Fink is 7-4-3 overall and is third in the RMAC with a .753 save percentage.  He has a 1.29 goals against average and has collected 58 saves.

The Rangers have already sewn up a spot in the RMAC postseason tournament, but with two games left their seed is still up for grabs.

Regis will host Colorado Christian, weather permitting, on Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
