Ranger Senior Goalkeeper Wally Fink Named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week
Colorado Springs, Colo.: Helping the Regis Ranger men's soccer team to a 2-0 weekend, both shutouts, senior goalkeeper Wally Fink was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Fink, from Rio Rancho, N.M., played all 180 minutes stopping seven shots and registering his second and third shutouts of the season. Regis defeated UC-Colorado Springs 1-0 and CSU-Pueblo 3-0 to improve to 7-3-4 overall and 5-1-4 in the RMAC.
Fink is fourth in the RMAC with a 1.26 goals against average and also fourth in save percentage at .733 percent. His three shutouts are fourth most in the RMAC and his 44 saves are seventh most in the conference.
Regis will face its toughest road test of the season as they travel to the western slope to take on Mesa State on Friday evening and then travel down to Durango to face #4 Fort Lewis on Sunday afternoon.
