Rangers Snag 2-1 Victory Over CSU-Pueblo While on the Road

Pueblo, Colo.: While in Pueblo on Friday, the Rangers snagged their third win of the season after defeating CSU-Pueblo 2-1. Ben Buhler and Lio DelPiccolo had one goal each in the match.

At the 8:37 mark, Buhler scored the first goal of the game to put the Rangers (3-2, 1-0 RMAC) up 1-0. The next goal was not scored until there was just over six and a half minutes remaining in the half when CSU-Pueblo's Erik Andersen scored to tie the game at one.

The second half began and went scoreless until the 67:48 mark when DelPiccolo scored his first collegiate goal to put the Rangers up by one (2-1). Neither team scored again ending the game in favor of Regis. 

The Rangers outshot the Thunderwolves (4-2, 0-1 RMAC) 13 to nine while both teams had three shots on goal in the match.

Regis will face the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in a conference matchup on Sun., Sept. 20th in Colorado Springs. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
