Regis Loses by One to No. 15 Metro State; Nathan Kafer Scores One
Denver, Colo.: Nathan Kafer scored one goal in the Rangers' 2-1 loss to Metro State Sunday afternoon in Denver.
Metro's Ola Sandquist scored the first goal of the game at the 3:40 mark to give the Roadrunner's a 1-0 lead. Ryan Brooks assisted on the play. Just under two minutes later, Regis' Nathan Kafer, a sophmore, scored to tie the game at one.
With just under six minutes left in the first half, Metro scored one more give them a one goal lead. Neither team scored for the remainder of the game. Kellen Johnson scored the winning goal for the Roadrunners and was asssisted by Ri Armstrong on the play.
The Rangers will play Midwestern State on Sept. 26 at the Regis Match Pitch. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
