Denver, Colo.:  Today marks the beginning of a new season for Regis athletics. Three teams are underway to prepare for the upcoming fall season.  Coaches and players have been preparing for this day the whole summer and with just over two weeks before the first countable game a lot of work needs to get done quickly.

The men's soccer team had 26 players report to camp including 10 newcomers.  The team is coming off an 11-7-1 record and a berth in the RMAC postseason tournament.  Head Coach Keith Tiemeyer is in his second season at the helm and will lead his Rangers as they open up the season on the road on August 29th.  They will play two games in Texas, first against Incarnate Word and then St. Edwards.  Their first home game takes place on September 21st against conference rival Metro St.

The women's soccer team had 24 players report including seven newcomers.  13th year head coach JB Belzer will look to improve off a 9-11 season when they begin their season on August 28th when they take on Winona State in Winona, Minnesota.  Their first home match of the season takes place on September 5th as they host Grand Canyon.

Both the men's and women's soccer teams will be spending over a week across the pond in Europe.  They will be practicing and scrimmaging different teams throughout Eurpoe while also doing some sight-seeing.

The volleyball team, coming off an 11-17 season, welcomed 13 players to preseason two-a-days.  Just one senior was lost from last year's team that lost to Nebraska-Kearney in the first round of the RMAC Tournament.  Four newcomers were added to the team which will help make them a deeper team.  The Ranger volleyball team will begin their season on Long Island, N.Y.  Their first games take place at the Long Island C.W. Post Tournament.  On August 28th they battle the host C.W. Post before returning home to host the Premier Challenge.  The first home game pits the Rangers against Central Missouri on September 5th.  Later that day the Rangers will host defending Division II National Champion Concordia-St. Paul.
