Copeland and Fink Named RMAC Players of the Week

Colorado Springs, Colo.: Junior Wally Fink and sophomore Sterling Copeland swept the RMAC men's soccer Player of the Week awards for their accomplishments last week.  They helped the Rangers to a 2-0-1 record which included wins over 24th-ranked Mesa State (2-0) and UC-Colorado Springs (2-0) and a tie with 15th-ranked Metro State, 1-1.

Copeland, a forward from Westminster, has won the offensive award twice in a row. He had two assists in the Rangers 2-0 win over Mesa Sate on Monday and he scored both goals in their 2-0 win over UCCS on Friday.  He leads the Rangers with six goals on the season and is second with 14 points.

Fink had two shutouts this past weekend allowing only one goal in 290 minutes of play. On Monday he had four saves to shutout No. 24 Mesa State before recording seven saves to shut out UC-Colorado Springs on Friday. With 11 saves, Fink allowed only one goal agasint 15th-ranked Metro State on Sunday to help lead the Rangers to a 1-1 tie.
