Rangers Drop Away Game 2-3 to CSU-Pueblo
Pueblo, Colo: Kyle Emge scored one goal in the Rangers' 3-2 loss to CSU-Pueblo Friday in Pueblo.
At the 13:06 mark, Sam Henritze scored the first goal of the game to put CSU-Pueblo up 1-0. Just over ten minutes later CSU scored again when Austin Forakis scored on an assist from Trevor Martinet.
Regis (1-3-1, 1-1-1 RMAC) cut the deficit to one with just under seven minutes of play left in the first half when freshman forward Jordan Brandel scored his second goal of the season. Tyler Waggoner assisted on the play.
After fighting for field position for nearly 15 minutes at the beginning of the second half, the Thunderwoleves' Udobong Obotette scored to give CSU a two-goal lead.
With just under five minutes left in the game, freshman Kyle Emge scored to bring the Rangers within one score . Regis had one more shot in the time remaining which sailed high.
CSU had just one more shot than Regis during the game with 11 and had the same number of shots on goal with six.
The Rangers will play Metro State next on Sept. 21 at the Regis Match Pitch. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
