Kafer Scores Rangers' Two Goals to Lead Regis to 2-1 Victory Over Colorado Mines

Denver, Colo.: Sophomore Nathan Kafer scored the Rangers' two goals in their 2-1 victory over Colorado Mines Sunday afternoon in Denver.

After nearly 34 minutes of play, Regis took a 1-0 lead over the Orediggers when Kafer scored his first goal of the game. Senior Andrew Munday served the ball to Kafer just in front of Mines' goal where Kafer took the shot.  With close to two and a half mintues left in the first period Kafer scored again on an assist from freshman Ben Buhler to increase the Rangers lead to two.

Regis kept that lead up until the 75:10 mark when Colorado Mines senior Jason Decker headed the ball into the Rangers net for a goal. Senior Cameron Brown assisted on the play.

Decker's goal was the last one of the game leaving the score at 2-1 in favor of Regis.

The Rangers will play next on Fri., Oct. 24 against UC-Colorado Springs at home. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
