Chris Camp Scores his First Goal of the Season to Help Lead Rangers to 3-1 Victory Over CCU

Denver, Colo.: Chris Camp scored his first goal of the season to help lead the Rangers to a 3-1 victory over Colorado Christian University on Friday afternoon.

A short four minutes and 28 seconds into the game Mike McHugh scored the first goal of the game for Colorado Christian when he headed the ball into the Rangers net. Freshman Lane Schulz assisted from midfield on the play to give CCU a 1-0 lead.

Neither team scored again until 16 minutes and six seconds into the second half when senior Chris Camp shot from the left side of the field at about twenty five yards out to tie the game at one. Sophomore Gary Cole assisted on the goal. Just over ten minutes later the Rangers took the lead when sophomore Nathan Kafer scored on a penalty kick.

The Rangers increased their lead to two when they scored one more goal with just under three minutes left in the game. The freshman duo, Ben Buhler and Kyle Emge, teamed up to score the final goal of the game for the Rangers when Emge served the ball to Buhler in front of the net for the shot.

The Rangers will face Colorado School of Mines on Sun., Oct. 19 at the Regis Soccer Pitch. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
