Men's Golf Stands 7th after First Two Rounds at Peaks Classic

LaVeta, Colo.: The Regis University men's golf team sits in seventh place after 36 holes at the Peaks Classic at Grandote Peaks Golf Club (72-7085).

Senior Robert Quick paced the Rangers following his 72-76 and is in ninth place with his 4-over 148.

A pair of freshman, Dillon McDonald and Steven DaSilva are in 25th and 35th places respectively.  McDonald carded a 155 (+11) in which he followed up an opening round 76 with a 79.  DaSilva struggled in the first round with an 83 but responded well shooting a 76 for a 15-over 159.

Wayland Baptist has the overall team lead by 15 strokes over RMAC-foe CSU-Pueblo, 580-595.

Senior Ben Davis and sophomore Donnie Stewart rounded out the Rangers with Davis carding an 80 and 82 for a 162, while Stewart enters the final round with a 164 (85-79).

The final round will be played tomorrow morning with a shotgun start.
