The Regis University Board of Trustees announced Father John P. Fitzgibbons, S.J., as the 24th president of Regis University. He will take office June 1, 2012. Dick Kelly, chair of the Regis University Board of Trustees, made the announcement.

Junior Taylor Hulbert's second place finish helped propel the Rangers to a third place finish at the Colorado Mines Fall Invitational at the Heritage at Westmoor Golf Course (72-7410). Hulbert finished with an even par 216 finishing five strokes behind individual medalist Jim Knous of Colorado Mines.

Regis shot a 604 trailing host Colorado Mines with a 591 and CSU-Pueblo with a 601.

The Regis Rangers found out just how tough the RMAC men's golf schedule is going to be with most of the RMAC taking part in the Peaks Classic held at Grandote Peaks Golf Club (72-7085). Regis finished in 12th place with a 933 combined score at a tournament where UC-Colorado Springs took the team title with an 866.
