Junior Greg Johnson's season ended at the NCAA Division II West/Central Super Regional as an individualist after a stellar campaign. Unfortunately it didn't end as he wanted as he finished in 108th place.

Associate Athletic Director Ann Martin Tabbed as Next Regis Athletic Director
Regis University President Fr. Michael Sheeran, S.J. announced the hiring of Ann Martin as the next director of athletics. Martin replaces longtime Regis Athletic Director Barbara Schroeder who will be retiring in June. Martin has been on the Regis athletic administration staff since 2005.

Regis Men's Golf Finishes Season with Eighth Place Finish at RMAC Championships
In the final golf tournament for the Regis men's golf team in 2009-10, it wasn't how the Rangers wanted to finish the season. Regis tied with Nebraska-Kearney for eighth place with a team aggregate score of 935.

Rangers Finish Third at Bob Writz Invitational; Zach Johnson Ties for Fifth
The Regis men's golf team finished third overall in the Bob Writz Invitational on April 10th at the Plum Creek Country Club. Leading the Rangers was Zach Johnson who tied for fifth followed by Greg Johnson who finished eighth.

Junior Greg Johnson carded a 3-over 219 to finish in a tie for third at the Eisenhower Spring Invite on the campus of the Air Force Academy. The Rangers as a team finished in sixth place on the Eisenhower Golf Course (72-7301).

The Regis Ranger men's and women's golf teams are ranked in the most recent NCAA Central Region rankings. The Regis women crack the regional rankings for the first time in school history and are ranked 12th.

Regis Men's Golf Fall Short in Colorado Mines Triangular
Alongside Colorado Mines and CSU-Pueblo the Regis Rangers competed in the Colorado Mines Triangular at the Saddleback Golf Club in Firestone, Colo. (par 72-7090). CSU-Pueblo took the team title with an 18-hole score of 298 followed closely by Colorado Mines (303) and Regis (305).

Regis Finishes Fifth in Spring Opener at Western New Mexico Mustang Invitational
The Regis Ranger men's golf team opened the spring portion of their 2009-10 schedule with a fifth place finish at the Western New Mexico Mustang Invitational at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course (par 72).

Regis Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Co-Hosts 1st Annual Gatorade Pong Tournament
On October 22nd, the Regis University Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) teamed up with CHOICES and SIC to host the first ever Gatorade Pong Tournament. With cooperative weather, great team costumes, a delicious BBQ and lots of swag, the tournament was an overall hit.

Ranger Men's Golf Ends Fall Season with Seventh Place Finish at CSM/Regis Invitational
The Regis men's golf team finished up their fall portion of the 2009-10 season at the Colorado Mines/Regis Invitational held at Blackstone Country Club (72-7201). Playing in real tough field for the second week in a row the Rangers finished in seventh place with a two-round score of 611.

Today's conditions were less than favorable at the Colorado Mines/Regis Fall Invitational which included a three-hour delay due to ice on the course and cold temperatures. Regis finished the first round, cut to just 18 holes due to the late start, in seventh place with a score of 304.

The Estrella Golf Course (72-7121) and the other 17 teams competing at the Grand Canyon Invitational proved to be too much for Regis as they finished in 16th place with a three-round total of 937.

Regis junior golfer Greg Johnson was recently named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week. His exceptional three-round total at the NSIC/RMAC Regional Crossover played at the Wild Horse Golf Course in Gothenburg, Neb.

Ranger Men's Golf Battles Wind and Top Teams to Finish 9th at NSIC/RMAC Regional Crossover
The NSIC/RMAC Regional Crossover meet participants saw windy conditions and the top teams from the two conferences do battle at Wild Horse Golf Course (72-6835). The Regis men finished ninth overall with a three-round scored of 956 behind tournament champion Minnesota State who carded a 925.

Ranger Men's Golf Finishes Fourth in Rain-Shortened RMAC Fall Championships
The Regis Ranger men's golf team finished in fourth place with a one-round score of 306 at the RMAC Fall Championships at Cougar Canyon Golf Links (72-7193). The first two rounds were cancelled due to inclement weather. Sophomore Taylor Hulbert finished in fourth place with a 1-over 73.
