Regis' Greg Johnson Ends Season at NCAA Division II West/Central Super Regional

Palm Desert, Calif.: Junior Greg Johnson's season ended at the NCAA Division II West/Central Super Regional as an individualist after a stellar campaign.  Unfortunately it didn't end as he wanted as he finished in 108th place.

The event, held at The Classic Club (72-7100), was won by defending Division II champions Sonoma State who shot a 1-under, three-round total of 863.  Fellow RMAC competitor Western New Mexico took second place, 17 strokes behind Sonoma State.

Sonoma State's Janssen Todd came from seventh place after the second round to take the individual medalist honors with a 2-under 214.

Johnson shot a 92 in the openning round but responded well after that with back-to-back 80s on one of the toughest courses the Rangers competed at all season.
