Trinidad, Colo.: The Regis Ranger men's golf team finished in fourth place with a one-round score of 306 at the RMAC Fall Championships at Cougar Canyon Golf Links (72-7193). The first two rounds were cancelled due to inclement weather. Sophomore Taylor Hulbert finished in fourth place with a 1-over 73.
Defending RMAC champions UC-Colorado Springs took the team title with a 296, while Colorado School of Mines sophomore Jim Knous was individual medalist with a 2-under 70 after winning a playoff with UC-Colorado Springs' Chris Shoop.
Hulbert shot a 38 on the front nine and a 35 on the back nine. The 35 on the back nine tied for tournament low on the back nine.
Right behind Hulbert was junior Greg Johnson who shot a 37 and a 38 for a 3-over 75 to tie for sixth place. Junior Alex Roberts finished in a tie for 12th carding a 4-over 76 after shooting a 39 on the front and 37 on the back.
Sophomores Robert Quick and Ben Davis rounded out the scoring for Regis. Quick finished tied for 36th after shooting a 10-over 82, posting a 39 on the front and a 43 on the back. Davis, seeing his first action of the season, was 49th place with a 14-over 86.
Regis will take part in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate/Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Crossover on Sunday and Monday at Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg, Neb.
