Ranger Men's Golf Season Comes to an End at NCAA Division II Regional Tournament

Lincoln, Neb.: The Ranger men's golf team couldn't find their stroke that they had last week at the RMAC Championships when they finished in fourth place.  Wilderness Ridge (71, 7107) and the University of Nebraska-Kearney hosted the NCAA Division II Central/West Regional where the Rangers finished 19th.

The Rangers carded a three-round total of 932 to finish in 19th almost 70 strokes behind tournament champion UC-Colorado Springs' 863.  CSU-Stanislaus and Sonoma State both tied for second each shooting a 866.

Leading the way for the Rangers was junior Josh Wagner and his 228 (+15).  He shot a 77 in the first round, a 75 in the second and a 76 in the final round to tie for 41st.  Freshman Ben Davis was next at 234 (78-77-79, +21) to tie for 80th place.

Sophomore Zach Johnson finished in a tie for 94th place carding a three-round 240 (+27).  He shot a 79, 81, and 80, while freshman Taylor Hulbert shot a 78, 77, and 86 to finish with a 241 (+28) to finish in a tie for 97th.  Sophomore Greg Johnson rounded out the scoring placing 104th with a 251 (+38).  He shot rounds of 88, 88, and 75 to finish out a very successful season.
