Ranger Men's Golf Finishes Runner-Up at Bob Writz Invitational; Josh Wagner Finishes Third Individually
Lakewood, Colo.: The Regis Ranger men's golf team could not overcome a five-stroke deficit from the first round of the Bob Writz Invitational finishing runner-up with a two-round total of 590. Colorado Christian took the team title with a 577. Regis shot a 293 in round one and a 297 in round two. The tournament took place at Fox Hollow Golf Course (71, 6808) in Lakewood.
Junior Josh Wagner finished in third place with a two-day total of 144 (+1), shooting a 72 (+1) in round two. Sophomore Greg Johnson finished in a tie for fifth carding a 73 (+2) in round two finishing with a total of 147 (+4).
Freshman Taylor Hulbert followed up his 1-over 73 with a 4-over 75 to finish in a tie for seventh place with a two-round total of 148 (+5). Fellow freshman Robert Quick tied for 12th with a 151 (+8) after shooting a 77 (+6) in round two. Sophomore Zach Johnson tied for 27th place shooting an 80 (+9) in the second round and finished with an aggregate score of 157 (+14).
Two other individuals competed at the tournament. Sophomore Alex Roberts and freshman Kyle Seery both tied for 32nd with a two-day total of 159 (+16). Roberts shot a 77 (+6) in the second round while Seery carded a 78 (+7) to finish out the scoring for the Rangers.

The Rangers next tournament will be next Monday and Tuesday as they take part in the RMAC #3 Tournament to be played in Colorado Springs on the Eisenhower Golf Club on the ground of the Broadmoor Hotel.
