Johansen and Korell Named to National Jesuit All-Academic Team

Denver, Colo.: Seniors Chris Johansen and Lance Korell were each named to the six-person National Jesuit All-Academic Men's Basketball Team.

The All-Jesuit Team represents student-athletes from the 28 Jesuit colleges spread across the United State that play basketball on all three levels of the NCAA and also in the NAIA.  Johansen and Korell were the only non-Division I players named to the team.

Johansen is a repeat honoree from last year's team and recently was also named Capital ONe Academic All-America Second Team.  From Albuquerque, N.M., Johansen posted a 3.96 grade point average in business management and was also active in the Regis Unviersity Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).  He played in all 26 games, while making 25 starts and averaged 8.9 points per game and was second in rebounding at 4.9 per contest.

Korell posted a perfect 4.00 gpa in mathematics and earned First Team All-RMAC Academic while playing in all 26 games.  He scored a career-high 27 points against Nebraska-Kearney late in the season and finished the season averaging 5.1 points per game.  Over the final month of the season, he averaged 8.4 ppg.
