Junior Matt Rosinski Named First Team RMAC All-East Division; Senior Andy Pokorny Tabbed Third Team
Colorado Springs, Colo.: Junior guard Matt Rosinski was recently named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference East Division First Team. Rosinski was joined by senior guard Andy Pokorny who was tabbed a third team selection.
Rosinski, from Phoenix, Ariz., led Regis in scoring at 17.3 ppg, which ranked him seventh in the RMAC. He led the Rangers connecting on 43 three-point baskets and led the RMAC with an 87.5 free throw shooting percentage. He averaged 3.0 apg, second best on the team, and notched a career-high 37 points against Peru State. His 87.5 free throw percentage is third best in school history trailing only Gabriel Green (90.3) and David Horton (88.8).
Pokorny, from Laramie, Wyo., was one of two seniors on this year's squad. He put in 9.1 ppg, which was third best on the team. He connected on 31 three pointers this season, second best for the Rangers. He ranked seventh in the RMAC averaging 1.77 steals per game and he was the only other Ranger, besides Rosinski, to shot over 80.0 percent from the free throw line. For his career, he ranks seventh in career three-point field goals made with 92. He also ranks 13th all-time at Regis with 84 career steals.
