Dave Mumper is in his second season as assistant baseball coach at Regis in 2012, and brings years of experience to the field.  Mumper coached Colorado high school baseball for 18 years at Douglas County, Highlands Ranch and ThunderRidge high schools.

Mumper's 18-year career, where he was 204-135 (60.2 percent), culminated in 2004 when he led ThunderRidge HS to an 18-8 record and the Colorado Class 5A State Championship.  Following that season he was named the Rocky Mountain News Coach of the Year and the Denver Post All-Colorado Coach of the Year.  He was also tabbed the American Baseball Coaches Association Region VII Coach of the Year.

Mumper stepped down as head coach following the 2004 season and became the athletic director and assistant principal at Mountain Vista HS in Highlands Ranch, Colo.  He was in that position till 2010 when he began his work with the Regis University baseball team.

Mumper was recently inducted into the inaugural class of the Colorado Dugout Club Hall of Fame.  He has been a professional scout for major league teams such as the Florida Marlins, Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox.  He was a past president of the Colorado High School Baseball Coaches Association.
