Right-Hander Aaron Harms Earns RMAC Pitcher of the Week Award
Colorado Springs, Colo.: For the fourth time this season a Regis University baseball pitcher has earned RMAC Pitcher of the Week. This time junior Aaron Harms earned the award following one of the best performances by any Regis pitcher in recent memory.
Harms started game three of the series with Nebraska-Kearney and was basically untouchable. Harms took a no-hitter into the fifth inning when with two outs he gave up a double. Harms set down the next batter and allowed just one more hit in the ninth inning, again with two outs.
The two-hit shutout was the first of its kind since Ian Ferguson did the same thing in April of 1999. For the season, Harms leads the RMAC with a 2.79 ERA and is 7-1 overall and 6-0 in his six starts.
Harms and the Ranges have won eight of their last nine games and enter the RMAC Tournament as the four seed and will take on three-seed CSU-Pueblo in Pueblo on Wednesday night at 7.
