• A 2011 graduate of Hawaii Preparatory Academy in Kamuela, Hawaii
• Was named First Team All BIIF in 2011
• Played four years of baseball
• Led HPA to the Big Island Interscholastic Federation championship in 2009

Personal:

• The son of Walter Kiyota and Rolina Kiyota
• Has one younger sister, Camille
• Father played baseball at the University of Hawaii
