Rangers Drop Another One-Run Game This Time to Colorado Mines 7-6

Golden, Colo.: The Regis Rangers dropped yet another one-run game this time to Colorado Mines by a score of 7-6, dropping to 3-9 in one-run games.  Regis fell behind 7-1 after four innings but were able to crawl back into it before Colorado Mines was able to hold off the Rangers.

Regis (13-24, 9-19 RMAC) starter Charlie Henderson was tagged for seven runs in the first four innings but was able to settle down and shutout the Orediggers (9-25, 4-23 RMAC) the next four innings.

The Rangers scored twice in the fifth and once each in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings. 

Regis did outhit the Orediggers 13-10 but were hurt by two errors compared to just one for Colorado Mines.  Henderson went eight innings, giving up 10 hits while striking out two and allowing seven runs.

Sophomore Dave Holland went 3-for4 at the plate with one run scored and one RBI.  Senior Gerard Mohrmann went 2-for-4, while senior Max Regalado was 2-for-5 with an RBI. 

The two teams will play two more tomorrow afternoon with first pitch set for 12:00 p.m.
