Former Ranger Catcher Patrick Farrell Homers in His First Career Professional Game
Johnson City, Tenn.: Former Ranger All-American catcher Patrick Farrell was cleared medically to play by the New York Mets and began his professional career as a member of the Mets' rookie team, the Kingsport (Tenn.) Mets.
Farrell singled in his first career at-bat against the Johnson City Cardinals in an Appalachian League contest on Saturday night. His next at-bat was a memorable one as he hit his first career homerun driving in three runs as the designated hitter.
