Farrell Earns Second Straight RMAC Baseball Offensive Player of the Week Honor

Colorado Springs, Colo.: For the second straight week senior Patrick Farrell earns Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference baseball Offensive Player of the Week award.

The catcher/designated hitter from Cheyenne, Wyo. got the week started off with a bang going 4-for-5 of which three of the hits were homeruns in a 19-6 victory over Metro State.  His other hit was a double and he drove in six runs while scoring five times. 

In the very next game, against Mesa State, he went 3-for-4 with a homerun and a double driving in four and scoring twice. 

For the week he went 11-of-20 (.550) while driving in 12 runs and getting four homeruns and three doubles.  He had an on-base percentage of .591 and a slugging percentage of 1.300.

Over the last two weeks Farrell is 22-for-39 (.564) with eight homeruns and 21 RBIs.  He has scored 14 runs and has only struck out one time. 

He leads the Rangers with a .449 batting average along with 40 hits, 10 doubles and 12 homeruns.  Farrell, who has 12 multi-hit games, leads the Rangers with 38 RBIs and a .966 slugging percentage.

Regis hosts cross town rival Metro State for a four-game series beginning on Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
