Junior centerfielder J.T. Putt adds to his postseason accolades by earning Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team honors. The Daktronics All-Central Region team was voted upon by sports information directors throughout the Central Region made up of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

Junior J.T. Putt Earns First Team All-RMAC; Dave Holland Tabbed Freshman of the Year
Junior outfielder J.T. Putt was named to the All-RMAC First Team as voted on by the leagues baseball coaches, while third baseman Dave Holland was tabbed the RMAC Freshman of the Year. Junior shortstop Jesus Arzaga was tabbed second team, while junior first baseman Chris Steinbeck and junior designated hitter Patrick Farrell were named to the third team.

Rangers Finish Season with Losses to Metro State and New Mexico Highlands at the RMAC Tournament
Following an opening round upset of 23rd ranked Mesa State on Wednesday the Rangers ran into two buzzsaws in the likes of crosstown rival Metro State and New Mexico Highlands. Metro State outslugged Regis 19-8 on Thursday and then the Rangers had their season come to an end with a 12-3 loss to New Mexico Highlands.

Rangers Upset Nationally Ranked #23 Mesa State 16-10 in First Round of RMAC Tournament
The Regis Ranger baseball team had a tough time this season against Mesa State falling all seven times to the Mavericks in the regular season. The Rangers saved the best for tournament time defeating the 23rd ranked Mavericks 16-10 in the first round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament.

The Regis Ranger baseball team finished the regular season with a 22-27 record and a 14-21 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference record. The Rangers earned the sixth seed in this weeks RMAC Tournament set to begin on Wednesday in Pueblo.

The Regis Ranger baseball team finished up their regular season with a four-game split with Nebraska-Kearney. UNK took the first two games on Friday 19-4 and 4-0, while Regis took both games on Saturday by scores of 19-10 and 6-5.

Seven Ranger Baseball Student-Athletes Named to RMAC All-Academic Teams
Seven Ranger baseball student-athletes were recently named to the RMAC All-Academic teams, including two, senior Kyle Spencer and junior Anthony Musielak which were named to the second team. Senior Brennan Bonati, junior Zach McBeth, sophomore Aaron Salvucci, and redshirt freshmen Steve Falconi and Mike McElreath were all named to the Honor Roll.

Rangers Relief Pitchers Shut Down Colorado Mines Offense in 7-4 Victory
Three Ranger relief pitchers allowed just two hits and no runs over 6 2/3 innings to keep the Colorado School of Mines offense at bay and complete a 7-4 victory. Junior Gerard Mohrmann hit two homeruns in back-to-back at bats to help propel the Rangers offense.

The Regis Ranger baseball team used a seven run third inning to blow open a close game and cruise to a 14-8 victory in the last home series of the season. Sophomore Steve Falconi (3-4) picked up his third win of the season going seven innings.

The Regis Ranger baseball team split two games with CSU-Pueblo in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action winning the first game 15-9 and falling in game two 15-11. Regis trailed 9-2 in the first game before reeling of 13 straight runs to shock the Thunderwolves.

The Regis Baseball Team Falls to CSU-Pueblo 15-10 on Soggy Field
Regis and CSU-Pueblo were finally able to play their first game after the spring snowstorm postponed the first game by two days. When the two teams finally got on the soggy field CSU-Pueblo was able to build a lead early and hold on late as they defeated the Rangers 15-10.

Rangers Squeak by Colorado Christian in Non-Conference Tilt 8-7 this Afternoon
Regis and Colorado Christian played a non-conference tilt on Tuesday afternoon. A few days after Colorado Christian lost to CSU-Pueblo 32-23 in one of the highest scoring games in NCAA Division II history, the Rangers were able to squeak by the Cougars 8-7.

Regis and Colorado Christian Split Two Games; Finish Second Game in Blinding Snow
he Colorado weather went from sunny and nice to cloudy and then finally just before the final two outs of the Regis-Colorado Christian baseball doubleheader blinding snow and wind. Regis won the first game by a score of 11-3 behind a pitching gem from freshman Steve Falconi before falling to Colorado Christian 8-7 in the nightcap.

Another blast of cold air and snow have changed the spring Regis softball and baseball schedules. The softball team was scheduled to play a doubleheader against CSU-Pueblo this morning on the Metro State campus. The games will be moved to tomorrow at 9:00 AM, but may in fact be moved to Monday.

Regis and Colorado Christian squared off for two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference baseball games this afternoon with Regis taking both by scores of 14-9 and 11-4. Regis was able to collect 31 hits to outpace the Cougars.

Rangers Lose Heartbreaker to Crosstown Rival Metro State 14-13
Regis and Metro State were finally able to play after a foot of snow fell on Thursday. Sunday's doubleheader turned into just one game after the first game was postponed two hours to let the field dry. Over three hours later the game ended with Metro State winning a thriller 14-13 after scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Matt Levering and Steve Caruso were both named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Time Team. Levering played for the Rangers during the 2004 season, while Caruso played from 1976-79.

Regis and #19 ranked Concordia-St. Paul went extra innings yesterday afternoon in a game played at Darden Field on the campus of the Colorado School of Mines. Concordia-St. Paul scored four runs in the top of the 10th to win the game 12-9 in a non-conference tilt.
