Junior Chris Steinbeck Earns RMAC Baseball Player of the Week Award; Rangers Ranked 31st in ABCA Poll

Colorado Springs, Colo.: Ranger first baseman junior Chris Steinbeck was awarded RMAC Player of the Week for his efforts on the field last weekend.  Steinbeck helped Regis take two of three from #4 Emporia State in Denver.

Steinbeck, from Littleton, Colo., batted .462 in three games collecting six hits in 13 at-bats.  He led the Rangers with six RBI, seven runs scored and two triples.  He slugged .769 on the weekend and had a .563 on-base percntage.

Steinbeck is third on the team hitting .441 on the season in nine games.  He leads the team with 15 hits and 14 runs scored.  He has driven in 10 so far and has tallied two triples and one double.  He is second on the team drawing seven walks and as the Rangers leadoff hitter gets on base 54.8 percent of the time.

Regis is 7-2 so far this season and is ranked 31st in the most recent coaches association (ABCA) poll.  Regis will travel to Grand Junction, Colo. for a three-game non-conference weekend series against #5 ranked Mesa State.
