Rangers Grab Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week Honors

Colorado Springs, Colo.: The Rangers swept the RMAC pitcher and player of the week honors this past week for baseball the conference announced Tuesday. Junior Anthony Musielak was named pitcher of the week while teammate J.T. Putt, a junior outfielder, was named player of the week.

On Friday's game against Colorado School of Mines, Musielak pitched 6.1 innings allowing one earned run on four hits to post a 1.42 earned run average. He struck out a career high nine batters to lead the Rangers to a 4-1 victory over the Orediggers.

Putt finished the series with 1.000 slugging percentage to help lead the Rangers to a 3-1 record over the weekend. He led Regis with eight hits, nine RBI's and runs scored. He went 8-for-16 at the plate with two doubles and two homeruns in the team's four games. In the final game of the series, Putt hit two homeruns, scored three runs, and batted in seven to help lead the Rangers to a 17-2 victory.
