Regis University Fall World Series to Open on Thursday

Denver, Colo.: The Regis University Fall World Series began Thurs., Oct. 9 at the Ranger baseball field in an opening game between Team Hackett and team Carbajal. 

The series will extend to a seven games through Sat., Oct. 18. Rules are as follows: Each winning team will be awarded three points for a victory plus a point for each run differential. The overall winner will be the team with the most points at the series conclusion on Oct. 18. On weekdays, no inning will begin after 5:45 p.m. and any extra innings will begin with the California tie-breaker rule.
