Ranger Baseball Picks End of Season Awards

Denver, Colo.: The Regis Ranger baseball team finished the season with a 23-29 record including a first round RMAC tournament upset victory over Mesa State.  The season ending team awards have been named and are as follows:

Most Valuable Player

Jr. Centerfielder J.T. Putt

Most Valuable Pitcher

Fr. Pitcher Steve Falconi

Newcomer of the Year

Jr. Shortstop Jesus Arzaga

John Picconi Award (for consistent, hardnosed play)

Sr. Second Baseman Mike Benton

Eric Thompson Award (for dedicated service and loyalty to the program)

Sr. Catcher Dan Butler

Scott Rouse Award (stolen base leader for the season)
