Regis University Head Baseball Coach Dan McDermott announced today the dates of the Regis Ranger Baseball Winter Camps. Annual baseball camps have been a fixture at Regis University for over thirty years. Quality facilities, outstanding instruction, and genuine interest in young people have been consistent symbols of the Ranger commitment to the area baseball community.

Camp Director, Dan McDermott is entering his 10th season
as Head Baseball Coach at Regis University. A native of Wheatridge,
CO, McDermott has a vast background coaching baseball, including
nine seasons as the head coach at Briar Cliff College in Sioux
City, IA, four seasons as pitching coach in the minor leagues at
the AA level and four years as an assistant coach at Saint Mary's
College of California. McDermott has compiled a 580-411 overall
collegiate record as a head coach and is the recipient of five
District Coach of the Years honors and is a three-time Regional
Coach of the year selection and his programs have had seventeen
young men sign professional contracts. McDermott was named
Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2003 after
leading the Rangers to their first RMAC play-off appearance.
Additionally, McDermott has served as hitting instructor at Metro
State, pitching coach at School of Mines and head coach at
Wheatridge High School. As a member of the American Baseball
Coaches Association, McDermott has also served as an associate
scout for the Atlanta Braves and been a featured clinician at
various local and national baseball clinics.
Ranger Baseball Camps are committed to the development of the individual athlete. The goal of Ranger Baseball is to make each individual player the best they can be. Coach McDermott states, "Baseball is a sport where tremendous development and changes occur in the early teen years. Our objective is to teach the correct fundamentals, reinforce them with drills, and provide motivation for our campers to work on these concepts at home."

Below are the dates and descriptions of each camp.
Christmas Camp
The Christmas Camp will be held on December 21, 22, 23 in
the Regis Fieldhouse. Session I will be offered from 9-12 each
morning for youth aged 7-11. Session II will be offered from
12:00-3:00 each afternoon for youth aged 12-18. Campers will be
separated by age with an 8:1 ratio between players and
instructors. Hitting and defensive drills will be the focus
of this camp. Each session will be limited to 64 athletes. Cost is
$130.00
Progressive Hitting Sessions
The Hitting Sessions will be held on December 26, 27, 28
in the Regis Ranger Dome. Each session will last for ninety minutes
and will consist of intensive personal progressive instruction.
Each athlete will receive drill sheet, and individual evaluation.
Highly recommended; each session fills up fast! Session II will be
held on December 29, 30, 31. Times will be the same. Each
session is limited to nine athletes. Cost is $130.00
Pitching/Catching Clinic
The Ranger Pitching/Catching is a four week intensive
course conducted on Sundays. The sessions will be held on
January 3rd, 10th, 17th and
24th in the Regis Ranger Dome. Each session will
last for ninety minutes and will consist of intensive personal and
progressive instruction. Each athlete will receive drill sheet, and
individual evaluation. This program is great preparation for spring
baseball. Cost is $130.00.

80221. Any balance is due the first day of camp. Camps will remain
open until the
first day of camp. (if space allows) Applications received before
December 9th will receive a
