Men's Basketball News | Schedule/Results | Roster | Statistics | Coaching Staff | Media Guide   Geremy Gibson 3/12/08 Senior Geremey Gibson Named Daktronics Second-Team All-North Central Region Moorhead, Minn.: Regis senior forward Geremey Gibson today was named to the Daktronics All-North Central Region Second Team. The teams are voted on by the Sports Information Directors of schools in the Rocky Mountain, Northern Sun and North Central conferences. Gibson, a 6-4 forward from Salina, Kan., led the Rangers in scoring (18.1 ppg) and rebounds (9.2 rpg). Gibson helped lead the Rangers to their first RMAC Shootout appearance since the 2001-02 season after scoring 41 points in the final regular season game. He finished third in the conference with 11 double doubles and also finished third in the RMAC averaging 9.2 rebounds per game. Gibson finished the season ranked sixth or higher in five other offensive and defensive categories. The game was a first-round matchup in the RMAC Shootout, which marked the Rangers first appearance since the 2001-02 season. Midway through the first half the Rangers cut the lead to 17-11 but the 24th-ranked Skyhawks responded with a 12-1 run and went into the halftime break with a 42-24 lead.
