Fredrickson was the star of current coach Lonnie Porter's initial Regis team in 1977-78. Fredrickson earned 1st Team All-RMAC honors two straight years, and All-America laurels following his senior season. In 1977-78, Fredrickson averaged team-leading numbers in scoring (21.5 ppg) and rebounding (11.0) while leading the Rangers to a 20-7 record and a tie for RMAC championship. Following his graduation, Fredrickson played three seasons professionally in Europe.
